After months of anticipation, shoppers in Fremont finally have a new destination for affordable fashion and home goods. Located at 934 E. 23rd St., in the Fremont Mall, Marshalls officially opened its doors to the public at 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 26.

The retailer, known for offering a wide selection of name-brand items at discounted prices, welcomed a steady stream of customers eager to explore the store’s many aisles on opening day.
The business is expected to become a popular location for adults and students alike, 74.3% of 100 FHS students surveyed said they intend to visit the store after the opening. The turnout of the first day proved the estimated popularity was correct.
“I’ve been counting down the days for it to open,” junior Sylas Mackey said. “It’s exciting for Fremont to have a new store—especially with all of the new food places opening, too—and Marshalls always has lots of great stuff!”
The new store aims to provide residents with convenient and budget-friendly shopping experiences. Marshalls carries a diverse range of products that can appeal to consumers of all ages: from apparel and shoes to seasonal decor and home essentials.
“I love the variety they have; you rarely see the same thing twice,” Mackey said. “You just never know what you’re going to find, and I think Fremont has been really needing a store that can make a simple shopping trip feel like a fun treasure hunt.”
Beyond shopping, the store adds a new sense of energy to the Fremont Mall. Opening day created a lively atmosphere for patrons and employees alike. A routine shopping trip was easily turned into a fabulous community experience by the palpable excitement brought by Fremont’s new addition.

Expanding local retail options, the new business is also bringing job employment opportunities to the area. They are currently hiring for part-time positions, with a minimum age of 16, offering residents many opportunities to gain valuable job experience.
To thank the community for their support, Marshalls is donating $10,000 to The Bridge, a local domestic abuse treatment center that offers support to survivors. The donation was announced on the store’s opening day, earning a positive reaction from Fremont residents.
As their first week of business gets underway, Marshalls is already drawing attention from Fremont residents looking for plenty of deals and new finds. With its broad selection and ever-changing inventory, the store can be expected to remain a popular addition to the roster of local retail.

I’m so happy that Marshall’s came to Fremont. It was always such a hassle driving all the way to Omaha just to look for clothes.

Very well written article! I’m not a fan of digging through racks of clothes so probably won’t shop Marshall’s but it is about time Fremont has another option to purchase from. Hopefully they will entice other businesses to open in our town also.

Marshall’s is one of my favorite stores to shop at. They have many options to look at. My favorite section to look at is the shoe section or the candle section.

Im glad that the store aims to provide residents with convenient and budget-friendly shopping experiences.
