A rematch of the 2021 NSAA Girls State Championship Game is how the Tigers open up the 2021-2022 season. The Top Ranked Fremont Tigers will play the #8 Lincoln Pius X Thunderbolts in the Early Bird Classic. The Tigers bring back four of last seasons five starters, including the top rated player in the state, and Iowa basketball signee, senior guard Taylor McCabe.
Over McCabe’s career, she has averaged 16.4 points per game in 8 career matchups against the Thunderbolts.
Senior center Macy Bryant will look to hold down the post, as former Nebraska Player of the Year for Pius, Alexis Markowski graduated in 2021.
The game will tip off at 5:45 P.M on Thursday Dec 2nd and will be played at Lincoln Pius X high school.
