Ashland Carpenter is a 17-year-old senior at Fremont High School, and this is her third year on The Tiger’s Eye staff. Her favorite color is green because it matches her eyes and looks good on her. She also thinks snails are adorable and underrated since they play an important role in the environment.

Ashland’s favorite TV show is Family Guy, mainly because she loves Stewie, who she finds both relatable and sarcastic. One thing on her bucket list is to visit Pig Island in the Bahamas. If she had access to a time machine that she could only use once, she would travel back to the 1960s to experience what it was like to be a true hippie.

Her favorite band is Deftones, whose music she feels connected to and loves singing out loud during the day. After graduating from Fremont High School, Ashland plans to pursue a career in graphic design.
