Millie Bobby Brown, the Emmy-nominated British actress known for her role in Netflix’s Stranger Things, and her husband, Jacob Bongiovi, have adopted their first child together.
The couple married in a private ceremony on May 18, 2024, after nearly three years of dating. On Aug. 21, 2025, they announced the adoption of a daughter. The pair have not shared further details about the child.
Brown, 20, has previously spoken about her hopes for a large family. “My mum actually had her first child when she was 21, and my dad was 19,” Brown said in an interview with People. “I really want a family. I want a big family. I’m one of four, and he’s one of four. So it is definitely in our future.”
She added, “For me, I don’t see having your own child as really any different as adopting. My home is full of love for anyone or anything. And so, that is what we kind of stand by. The energy in our house is the door is always open, and we want everyone to feel comfortable.”
Brown has received two Saturn Awards and two Primetime Emmy nominations during her career. Bongiovi, 22, is the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi and works as an actor and model.
Fans can see Brown in the final season of Stranger Things, set to premiere on Netflix next month.
