It’s official — the NFL’s favorite tight end and pop’s biggest superstar are taking their Love Story to the next level. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the couple that blurred the lines between stadium and stage lights, are now engaged.
On August 26, 2025, it was announced that Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift. Skipping the Paper Rings, Swift is seen with a vintage-style ring, estimated to be between 7 and 13 karats, leaving her Bejeweled. The popularity of their relationship, already extreme, skyrocketed.
If you know anything about Taylor Swift, you should know her favorite number is 13. From her birthday, December 13, to her first album going gold in 13 weeks, and even to her seat or row being 13 when at award ceremonies.
Kelce’s father, Ed, had told News 5 Cleveland that the two had gotten engaged roughly two weeks before the announcement, or 13 days prior, on August 13. The engagement was posted at 1:00 p.m. ET (13:00 military time), another nod to her favorite number.
Swift placed more small Easter eggs to be found in her engagement photos. While most fans looked past the hints, many of her superfans did not fail to dive deep and discover the truth behind them.
The proposal took place on the grounds of Kelce’s Missouri mansion. A botanical garden with flowers, estimated to cost around $40,000, and a beautiful arch feature surrounded the couple. Kelce expressed his need for it to be “uber special.”

In the photos, ivy and willow can be seen, likely a reference to two songs from her ninth album, Evermore. There are massive planters filled with hydrangeas, garden roses, anemone, and lilies, along with many, many vines. The rosy and pink tones used in the landscape radiate Lover vibes, with Speak Now and Fearless included.
The couple is seen wearing matching custom Ralph Lauren outfits. Swift, wearing a diamond and ruby necklace, referencing her sixth studio album, Reputation.
They express their undeniable love towards each other, resembling a relationship that is just So Highschool, a song in Swift’s eleventh album, The Tortured Poets Department, written about Kelce himself. Kelce said he still feels “giddy” every time he gets to call Swift his fiancèe. It’s safe to say this proposal has left the world Enchanted.
